Blueberry Systems and the Relay™ solution started out based on a research paper prepared for Cherry Creek Mortgage Company. This research paper was commissioned to explore all of the features and functionalities that should be built into a mortgage lending production system. The purpose behind this effort was to define the "perfect system" from a lender's point of view.

Once the paper was completed, it was thought that the information could be used in a larger system selection process of candidate systems commercially available within our industry. The reality was that no systems existed in the current market place that fulfilled the functionality requirements and were cost effective to buy and implement. This fact lead to the creation of Blueberry Systems, LLC and the Relay™ Application Integration Platform.

Obviously there are thousands of functions and features designed into a modern mortgage lending system. Beyond those features and functions, the founders of Blueberry Systems defined a core set of goals that the eventual system must meet. These goals became the design philosophy behind the Relay™ system in every aspect of its creation. The core set of goals we defined are:

Lower Cost Per Loan

Improved User Experience

Improved Loan Quality

Facilitate Growth / Surge Capacity

Enhance Regulatory Compliance

Provide Superior Management Metrics

Channel Agnostic Production Environment

As we approached the design and engineering of each module within our system, we kept these core goals at the forefront. This helped us to assure that we were'nt merely creating technology, but rather we were architecting automation into each aspect of our customer's business.
